What's new? 🎉📣

  • 🎯 Correct transcripts on AMD graphics with older drivers — on some AMD GPUs running a 2020-era Windows driver (seen on a Ryzen laptop's Radeon iGPU), the GPU produced nonsense: a lone "!" or random characters, while the CPU was right. The driver leaves the GPU unclassified in the engine, and the attention kernel then asked for a subgroup width the hardware cannot run. Sona 0.6.5 only asks for it where the driver can grant it, and the GPU transcribes correctly again, several times faster than the CPU. Upstream fix proposed to ggml (ggml-org/ggml#1619)

  • 🧩 No Vulkan runtime, no problem — a Windows PC without a Vulkan loader (no vulkan-1.dll, typical of machines with no GPU driver installed) could not start the transcription engine at all. The engine now opens the loader at runtime and simply runs on the CPU when there is none. Upstream: ggml-org/ggml#1614

Signed and notarized on macOS and Windows.
