Highlights

• Smarter context window management: Vellum now dynamically resolves and applies the optimal context budget per model and profile, with new sliders in settings to control context window and max token limits. Model metadata has been refreshed to reflect accurate context sizes, and these budgets are applied consistently across all agent paths.
• Significant macOS performance and stability improvements: Multiple sources of main-thread hangs and UI stutters have been fixed, including hangs caused by sidebar drag-and-drop, window focus, SSE reconnects, LRU cache eviction, and layout cascade issues in custom SwiftUI views.
• Trust rules and permission controls enhancements: The trust rule editor now opens in edit mode with LLM-powered suggestions when tapping a badge, supports Save vs. Save As flows, and properly propagates matched rule context through the entire tool execution pipeline.
• Improved Slack integration: The Slack channel now handles compaction boundaries reliably, preserves thread anchors across long conversations, backfills unseen thread deltas, and correctly tracks active threads and watermarks — making Slack conversations more consistent and context-aware.
• Chrome extension improvements: The extension received a wider popup with an activity card and detail screens, an environment-tinted toolbar icon, fixes for privileged tab handling, better self-hosted UX, and automatic rebuild watching during local development.
