This is a set of scripts and instructions to convert the Ordnance Survey 'Vectormap District' maps to run on a Garmin GPS device or on Garmin's free Basecamp PC software.

Download the latest version and extract the zip file somewhere convenient. This contains a file called INSTRUCTIONS.pdf file that contains details about the project and how to use it.

If you are updating from a previous version, then note that the instructions have changed slightly so you are advised to re-read them carefully. You should then completely delete your existing 'maps' folder and replace it with the new one. You can safely re-use your previously downloaded shapefiles and openstreemap files - but note that the settings file has changed so don't try to reuse your existing one.
