These files will help readers of the blog entry at [] understand how to use the SAP IDM VDS in failover mode. Note that from the initial release there are three files: failover group.xml - this is the actual failover configuration file failover_test.xml - this is failover test ALPHA failover_test_Bravo.xml - this is failover test BETA. A few notes before using these files. 1. Make sure that you change the settings for database and server locations to fit your configuration. Both failover_test and failover_test_Beta need read access to the SAP IDM database and the HR_Sample table. Failover group.xml will need to be upated to reflect the IP addresses of failover test.xml and failover test_Beta.xml. 2. If you try to adjust the failover group configuration, it can be somewhat tricky. Please consult the blog entry at [] for advice on changing the enable status of the groups. Note I can provide limited support on the configurations and VDS itself, but I will do my very best with NO COMMITMENT to answering your questions according to any sort of time table, except that it will be as soon as possible. If you are having issues with VDS, please post to the SAP IDM forum located at: http://bit.ly/1Ikzn0q. You can also find some VDS tutorials at: http://bit.ly/1DTyv0l and the documentation at http://bit.ly/1NYVfij. If none of this helps, post messages requesting SAP VDS training. None really exists, but I'd like to see them create something. Also please contact me regarding custom VDS training and development.
