Matlab program analyzes 2D (xy) time-series data (tracks) by variaional Bayes, hidden Markov, Gaussian mixture pattern recognition pattern recognition methods. It finds the number of states, the position of each state, and assigns each time-point to its most probable specific state.

The submitted code uses several cd commands to get additional information from external hard drives which are specific to my computer system. I am currently revising the code to so that it runs within a single folder on your computer. The revised version will be posted on GitHub. I hope to have this done by November 1, 2023. "G. Holzwarth.
