Installing VaultClipse
The files provided on this download site are primarily meant as an archive. It is highly recommended to use the built in Eclipse update feature rather than installing the plugin directly.
Installing Through Eclipse
To install VaultClipse using the Eclipse update feature:
- In Eclipse select Help >> Install New Software
- Click Add to add a new site
- Enter the URL: http://vaultclipse.sourceforge.net/update
- Select the VaultClipse Core feature and click Next
- Accept any license terms and click Finish to complete the installation
Updating Through Eclipse
Periodically, the VaultClipse development team will make updates to VaultClipse available. To get the new updates:
- In Eclipse select Help >> Check for Updates
- Select the VaultClipse Core feature and click Next
- Accept any license terms and click Finish to complete the installation
Alternative Installation Instructions
This method is not recommended
If you cannot install using Eclipse's update feature or you don't want to you can deploy the plugin Jar to the directory {ECLIPSE_INSTALLATION}/plugins.
If you wish to update VaultClipse, you must manually delete the existing jar, copy in the new jar and restart Eclipse.
