USEGROUP version 1.2

Usegroup is another users and groups manager for the linux/unix systems.

This tool allows to add, delete users and group accounts, modify user members of groups.


Open a terminal and type : ./UseGroup.sh 

On first start the program is extracted in the UseGroup folder, make desktop/menu links and takes few seconds to translate the software in the local language.

Clicking on the desktop link will run the program in the user mode.

Or going to UseGroup folder and type ./usegroup

To run in super user mode (root) type : sudo ./usegroup  

To display the program options: ./usegroup -h      


This program may start in super user mode or single-user mode and will ask you for the administrator password to make changes.

The console tracks the system commands used for each change, the debug option (-d) give more information but not execute the commands.  

Usegroup checks the existing "zenity" and "yad" dialog tools in your system, "yad" is the default dialog, but you can change with the program option "-i". 

To uninstall Usegroup:

./usegroup -r 

Removes the UseGroup application, desktop and menu links by user confirmation.
