up2datepy is a very simple python script that automates the upgrade process of a Debian/Ubuntu system. Its very fast and easy to use. It only saves you a couple of seconds and some keystrokes. Thats it! I hope you like it and use it. Please feel free study the code and give feedback for whatever you think. Its a console package only. You can use the man page for more info on how to use, with man up2date.

     Usage

Place up2date.py to your home directory. Run with sudo python3 up2datepy.py. Alternatively you can make it executable with chmod +x up2datepy.py  and run it with sudo ./up2datepy.py. You can also double click it in Nautilus and choose Run in Terminal. Lastly, for a more integrated solution after you make it executable, you can place it in /usr/bin/ folder  with sudo cp up2datepy.py /usr/bin/ and invoke it from anywhere you are in the system with sudo up2datepy.py. If you install the .deb package just run it with sudo up2datepy. 
	
	You can edit the /etc/up2datepy/up2datepy.conf file to set on or off the -y option in the commands. By default AutoAccept is set to True which means that the -y option will be used. In case of errors regarding the conf file the syslog facility will provide usefull information. use cat /var/log/syslog to see possible solutions. 
	
	From version 0.6 up2datepy supports command line options. These are: -h or --help for displaying a short help and then exit, and -v or --version for displaying the version and then exit. It also supports the arguments -1, -2, -3, -4, -5. These arguments are the different options up2datepy has. For example, if you run sudo up2datepy -1, the program will automatically execute the first available option, after checking the config file of course and then exits.

There arent many things you can customize in this simple script. You could erase the -y prefix from the Commands if you want to have more control on the way it works.

Το up2datepy είναι ένα πολύ απλό script σε python το οποίο αυτοματοποιά την διαδικασία της αναβάθμισης ενός Debian/Ubuntu συστήματος. Είναι πολύ γρήγορο και απλό στην χρήση. Σας γλιτώνει μερικά δευτερόλεπτα και αρκετα πατήματα στο πληκτρολόγιο. Μόνο αυτό! Ελπίζω να σας αρέσει και να το χρησιμοποιήσετε. Παρακαλώ μελετήστε τον κώδικα και δώστε τροφοδότηση για οτιδήποτε θεωρήσετε σωστό. Είναι πακέτο για χρήση σε κονσόλα μόνο. Μπορείτε να χρησιμοποιήσετε τα man pages για περισσότερες πληροφορίες χρήσης με man up2datepy.

     Χρήση

Τοποθετήστε το αρχείο up2datepy.py στον κατάλογο σας και τρέξτε το με sudo python3 up2datepy.py. Εναλλακτικά μπορείτε να το κάνετε εκτελέσιμο με chmod +x up2datepy.py και να το τρέξετε με sudo ./up2datepy.py. Μπορείτε να το τρέξετε με διπλό κλικ στον Nautilus και να επιλέξετε Run in Terminal. Τέλος, για πιο ενσωματωμένη χρήση με το σύστημα μπορείτε αφού το κάνετε εκτελέσιμο να το μετακινήσετε στον φάκελο /usr/bin/ με sudo cp up2datepy.py /usr/bin και να το τρέξετε απο οπουδήποτε είσαστε στο σύστημα με sudo up2datepy.py. Αν εγκαταστήσατε το πακέτο .deb τότε τρέξτε το με sudo up2datepy. 
	Μπορείτε να αλλάξετε το αρχείο ρυθμίσεων /etc/up2datepy/up2datepy.conf για να ρυθμίσετε την επιλογή -y στις εντολές. Η επιλογή AutoAccept είναι προεπιλεγμένη, οπόταν το -y θα χρησιμοποιείται στις εντολές. Σε περίπτωση που παρουσιαστούν σφάλματα σχετικά με το αρχείο ρυθμίσεων, το syslog θα παρέχει χρήσιμες πληροφορίες. Tρέξτε cat /var/log/syslog για να δείτε πιθανές λύσεις.

	Απο την έκδοση 0.6 το up2datepy υποστηρίζει ορίσματα γραμμής εντολών. Αυτά είναι: -h ή --help όπου εμφανίζει μια μικρή βοήθεια και μετά τερματίζει, και -v ή --version που εμφανίζει την έκδοση της εφαρμογής και μετά τερματίζει. Επίσεις υποστηρίζονται τα ορίσματα -1, -2, -3, -4, -5. Αυτά αντιπροσωπεύουν τις διαφορετικές επιλογές που έχει το up2datepy. Για παράδειγμα αν τρέξετε sudo up2datepy -1 η εφαρμογή θα εκτελέσει την πρώτη διαθέσιμη επιλογή, αφού συμβουλευτεί το αρχείο ρυθμίσεων φυσικά και μετά τερματίζει.

Δεν υπάρχουν πολλά που μπορείτε να αλλάξετε σε αυτό το απλό script. Μπορείτε να διαγράψετε τις επιλογές -y απο τις εντολές αν θέλετε να έχετε περισσότερο έλεγχο στο πως δουλεύει.
