README for the unofficial Allegro 5 binary distribution All versions of Allegro 5 before 5.2.1.1 were built with MinGW 4.8.1-4. More recent versions reflect the version of MinGW they were built with in their file name. Please use the appropriate version of MinGW with the Allegro binaries. Allegro 4.4.3 is now provided as well, for those who still need the classic version of Allegro. Allegro 5 is the modern version, with built in hardware acceleration for graphics and many other features. If there is more than one release of the same file, please use the version with the latest release or build number in the file name. Thanks! Enjoy Allegro in all its forms!
