If you want to start only UIPServer without UIPPortal start your MySQL database and execute SQL script UIPDatabase.sql From address http://dev.mysql.com/downloads/connector/j/ download MySQL JDBC connector and copy its JAR file to folder UIPServer-1.0/lib. In folder UIPServer-1.0/etc rename file settingsMysql.xml to settings.xml and edit settings in this file acording your needs and database settings. Now you can run UIPServer from folder UIPServer-1.0/bin by UIPServer.sh on Linux like systems or by UIPServer.bat on Windows like systems. If you want to start both UIPServer and UIPPortal first download and install UIPPortal. Open UIPPortal on address localhost:8080 and login as supervisor with password supervisor. In section Server management -> FTP Server management, start FTP Server. In folder UIPServer-1.0/etc in file settings.xml you can edit settings acording your needs and database settings. Now you can run UIPServer from folder UIPServer-1.0/bin by UIPServer.sh on Linux like systems or by UIPServer.bat on Windows like systems. ATTENTION If you want use UIPServer with UIPPortal, you ever must start UIPPortal first and load in your web browser address localhost:8080. Until page is not showed UIPPortal is not fully started. After page is loaded you can start UIPPortal.
