Hi, I've been googling for color profiles for the EOS 7D, but all I can find is a forum post by someone who couldn't find either… does anyone have one?

Hi,
I actually use the 6201_ntls (final "s" is for sRGB profiles, final "a" for Adobe ones) profile that you can find in the icc folder of DPP. Colors look quite similar to the ones of the in camera jpgs to be (as usual with 0.10 and 0.45 as ufraw parameters).
Best,
Alberto

I'm not sure where I put the CD with the software. There is any other way to locate this profile? It only can be reach from the profile folder after installation?
Thanks

Medyr: the profile is in the ICC directory of the DPP installation. You can install it under Linux by using Wine, it even works (well, kind of :-)).
Pmjdebruijn: yes, it is not made for UFRaw, but there are no other valid alternatives at the moment (unless someone doesn't want to take the burden to buy an IT8 profile and do the profiling of the camera!). Though, I have been using the 5D profiles for my 40D and for my 350D without any problem; the 7D profiles seem to be working pretty fine too. The only thing you need is to set an appropriate input curve (it depends on your taste). I can provide you with plenty of samples… You can find some, for example, in my portfolio (none done with the 7D yet): http://albertoferrante.name/photos/portfolio.php
Actually it would be nice to know exactly what are the differences among these profiles and the ones made for ufraw… It should not be impossible, in principle, to transform them…
Best,
Alberto

You might want to try the 7D profile I generated by using an IT8 profile. If you do it, please let me have your feedback! http://albertoferrante.name/tips.php

Please do note, that Canon's profiles were not made for use with UFRaw, so don't be surprised with weirdness…

(Just noticed that this had replies, guess I must've forgot to tick off "Monitor this".)
Thanks for your reply, albertof76.
Btw, no need for wine: I just used cabextract on SOFTWARE/DPPLIB/COMMON/DATA.CAB, this contained the file 6201_ntls.ICC.
Thanks for the info, unhammer!
