#tweakos-colors-light 1.3 by Spacex(ew) feb.19, 2016 - tweaklinux@gmail.com
This release comes in three versions, all below cd-size.
(64-bit), (32-bit-PAE) and (32-bit-non-PAE, 586 kernel, for older pc's).
More info:
Based on the Stable branch of Debian, Jessie (8.3)
Openbox as WM, Tint2 as panel/taskbar/pager, and LightDM as X Display Manager
Major Apps:
Terminator, Thunar, Geany, Iceweasel, LXMusic, Simpleburn, Viewnior
Other Apps:
Catfish, Compton, Conky, GDebi, gFTP, Gigolo, GParted, File-Roller, Galculator, Gmrun,
Hexchat, Htop, Mate-Power-Manager, Network-Manager, Nitrogen, Synaptic, Transmission,
Xfce4-Screenshooter, Xscreensaver and much more...
Gimp, VLC, Libreoffice and web-browsers are installable from their sections in the menu,
and the menu will automatically change with the proper entry to launch these apps.
Special note for Intel HD Graphics:
---------------------------------------------
If you experience glitches/cracks in tint2-icons, then download the file "20-intel.conf",
and as root, move it into "/etc/X11/xorg.conf.d" (you will have to create this directory).
Then logout and back in, and the issue should be fixed.
If this bugs you when using the build as a live-cd, then just restart compositing
from the menu, and the icons will look fine.
Special note for the 32-bit non-PAE version:
--------------------------------------------
This build includes everything that the other versions include, and conky and compositing
is autostarted just as in the other builds.
If you want it even lighter, then you can comment out entries in the autostart-file(simple),
and you can disable services with systemctl(advanced).
I would estimate that 384 MB RAM is the lowest specs to run this release on. If you are
skilled, you may be able to trim it down to work on 256 MB RAM. But that's a stretch...
A FEW LAST REMARKS
------------------
Finally, in this build, I have fixed a flaw from previous builds, which made it hard
to boot the images if using anything besides Intel Graphics. More people should be
able to boot and install the images now.
I have also tested the pipemenus and install scripts to ensure they are working as they should.
Some of them needed a little bit of fixing, and should work better now. I have also fixed
a few other minor issues. Hopefully these builds are the best to date. Good luck :)
