ReadMe for Trapo Installation_Files

The files in this directory install Trapo and/or Steam$$.
They were created by SageKey; which is the only method that doesn't conflict with installed Access programs.
Yes, they will run completely independently of any other Microsoft Access version you have installed.

Each of them has a front end (Trapo.mde or Steam$$.mde) and a back end for the data (TrapoDat.mdb, SteamDat.mdb).
While you can certainly look at the back ends, it is dangereous to make any changes there.

Both programs support multiple users -- each with their own front end.
If the associated "Dat" file isn't in the same directory as the front end, it will ask you to locate the back end.
This will be remembered and you won't be asked again (unless it can't see the back end).
The only limitation for multiple users is that two people cannot use Steam$$ for the same site at the same time.

Both programs support multiple sites; these are groups of steam traps that are qualitatively different.
That is, their steam is generated by a different process and/or they are owned by different entities.
This means that a single copy of Trapo can support multiple customers.
