  • This is the single best software for drawing figures and exporting them to a variety of formats compatible with LaTeX. Unfortunately it hasn't been updated for a long time, but it's still working fine.
  • I can't find the tpx.exe file. Where is the correct file to download? Thanks
  • Thanks for Tpx, it's the best!

  • TpX is a very useful tool

  • Easy install and setup! works great.
  • Excellent drawing front end with export capabilities for pstricks and Tikz. The best front end among many that I have tried. Fast and precise drawings with many options. It is a pity that the program has not been developed after 2008. Overall two thumbs up!
  • I am writing a book in LaTex (actually LyX as the editor) and searched for, tried, evaluated, etc. many alternatives to Microsoft Visio. Visio is very full-featured, but too full-featured, very expensive, and not well integrated with LaTeX (you can export PDF with some tricks). In the end I found TpX to be the best choice and use if for all drawings. I really like: The ability to write raw LaTeX equations in my drawings. (this also ensures font and font size compatibility). The bezier is better than Visio. I can edit TpX in notepad. The lack of features. What I don't like: It was difficult to remove the picture environment (but I managed) - it's required for LyX. It won't preview in LyX (or I don't know how). slightly buggy and weird behavior, but workable. double editing of text required when changing text. No wrapping text box. arrows extend beyond end of line / curve. Thanks for making this.
  • Now it's easy to include quality vector graphics output from CAD/drawing programs into LaTeX.
  • This is extremely necessaruy, TeX is lacking without a image interface.
