Still works, been using it daily for about 2 years now and have never run into a problem.

Hello, TPFANCONTROL Software Designers!!! OK, WOW, SUPER, TRICK, WICKED, SPLENDID, BRILLIANT, OH YEAH!!!- THANK YOU!!! When upgraded from Windows 7 64 Bit, to Windows 10 Pro 64 Bit, TPFANCONTROL was reinstalled. no issues. ThinkPad T510 is kept cool & the App is EASY to use & set up.

Just installed this on a brand new Lenovo P14s Gen 2 because the fan was going constantly while 'Better performance' or 'Best performance' power mode was selected, even while idle. Working flawlessly so far. I recommend using the setup option for installing TP Fan Controller as a system service (which you can also do post install if you look at the readme.txt), so you then won't have the system notification always visible. Clearly Lenovo's own power management drivers are flawed as the fan speed is never reduced while idle unless you switch to 'Better battery' power mode, which defeats the purpose of having such an expensive and powerful laptop.

I am amazed that this works for my Thinkpad L590. It has been running so hot that I can't sit with it on my lap; I actually bought a laptop cooler, which works but is clunky to move around. After I installed the tpfancontrol I actually had control over the fan and could make it turn on when needed (the first time I could actually hear the fan working). After working out the point at which the laptop got too hot, I was able to use the ini file to set the fan on at a particular temperature. Now it works like a charm. No more hot knees!

The app has a an option in the task tray that says "FAQ/Google" or something like it. When you click it, you get directed to what seems like a phishing website that alerts you of viruses etc and loud beeps blasting from you PC. I do not trust the app any more because of this. It looks like malware to me.

I am impressed with the quality of coding in this app. May 2020 on Windows 10 .1909 64 bit Thinkpad x230T -- and it STILL works perfectly. Fans are noticably quieter when managed by Thinkpad Fan Controller. I am giving it 5/5 for all 4 sub-ratings. There is no website anymore -- but no need for support when the app just works. Thank you!

Using in lenovo helix first gen. Fans was killing me but thanks to this app i can peace at nights.

Works even in 2020, even on newer models despite having the last update in 2015! Please bear in mind, this for the ThinkPad line (^tp^fancontrol), so don't give bad reviews if you're a Yoga or other non-ThinkPad product user. Thanks!

Does it's job

Works in Win10 for my T430. Let's you choose how you want to operate fan: 1) manually, 2) using T430 BIOS, or 3) using this tpfancontrol software.

Would nice to add new models not working for Lenovo Y520 and false temp detection -112C.

Works like a charm! My x60 used to run at 80°C, but after I set this to run the fan at max speed my CPU went down to 45°C. Brilliant.

t61p lets the video card over heating during intensive 3d ops. (nVidia Quadro 570m) This app is essential to keep it in normal temp ranges.

Works great on x31, rock solid.
