- The
bib_engineargument oflatexmk()now defaults toNULL, in which case the bibliography engine is inferred from the auxiliary files generated during compilation: if a.bcffile is found (produced by biblatex with thebiberbackend),biberis used, otherwisebibtex. Previously the default was alwaysbibtex, so the bibliography of a biblatex + biber document was silently not built unless you setbib_engine = 'biber'or the global optiontinytex.bib_engine(thanks, @HughParsonage, [#19]).
