Tidycade Windows Test 9
The Powder Toy joins this Windows test library, bringing it to 9 games. Its game files download directly from the original publisher when you choose Install. The library remains separate from the 13-game Ubuntu release; Mindustry and SuperTux remain Ubuntu-only.
The Powder Toy passed remote install, launch-process, uninstall and preference-retention checks under Wine, a compatibility layer for running Windows programs on Linux. This is not a native Windows test or proof that its menus and full gameplay work on Windows. The launcher also passed 320 Windows-side checks under Wine. Existing games and library controls are unchanged from Test 8.
Download and update
For 64-bit Intel/AMD Windows. Download tidycade-windows-test-9.zip, extract the whole ZIP to a writable folder, then open Tidycade-Windows-TEST.exe. No Python installation or command line is needed. Keep the home folder when updating to preserve installed games and launcher data. Close an older copy first. Windows may warn about this unsigned test executable.
Native Windows compatibility, audio and full gameplay remain unverified. Warzone 2100, Cataclysm: Bright Nights and VoxeLibre remain test entries without verified Windows runtime compatibility. A previously reported startup failure remains unconfirmed; this build is not presented as its proven fix.
The optional .sha256 file checks the download; it is not a program. The automatic Source code links are not launcher downloads.
