UnicodePad release notes ======================== 21 Sep 2025 The project is ready. Launching its first launch today. There are two versions of this launch. UnicodePadWin version for Windows and UnicodePadMac for MacBook. The programs are essential the same. The only difference is the default .csv file they each look for to configure the screen buttons and keystrokes definitions. To allow users to easily configure the .csv files, the packages are not in the java .jar format. More information is available in the KeyCharMap.xlsx file and the UnicodePad User manual.docx. 17 Sep 2025 The project is named Tibetan Java Keyboard as it was first conceived for typing of Tibetan words. However, the program is versatile to handle any languages as long as the characters are Unicode characters. To edit the KeyCharMap.csv file, one needs to use an editor that can process Unicode encoding, such as UTF-8 with a Byte Order Mark (BOM). As of Sep 2025, some possible editors include Notepad++, Visual Studio Code and Sublime Text. The program is its final stages of debug. Do look forward to it by end of Sep 2025.
