Second Brain v2.4 — Same brain. Sharper recall.
Version 2.4 makes Second Brain better at finding the specific memory you meant, while reducing irrelevant connected context. Your existing memories benefit automatically—there’s nothing to recapture or reindex.
Sharper recall
- Better recovery of specific, older, and easily buried memories
- More useful answers to “why” and “how” questions
- Fewer close-but-wrong results and less graph noise
- Strong existing matches remain protected while promising buried memories get another chance
Review outdated memories
The “may be out of date” indicator now opens a proper review queue showing exactly which memories need attention.
From the queue, you can edit, append to, or forget a memory. Completed actions remove it from the list immediately, and deprecated memories are no longer included in the count.
Cleaner email and calendar capture
Second Brain now removes more machine-generated clutter before it reaches recall:
- Email footers and automated trailers
- Zoom, Teams, and Google Meet joining instructions
- Repeated dial-in details from calendar events
- Additional machine-generated sender addresses
The result is less boilerplate competing with the information you actually want to remember.
Better weekly insights
Weekly insights are now less repetitive and easier to verify.
- Insights created entirely from assistant-generated notes are filtered out
- Recent conclusions are checked to prevent near-duplicates
- Review cards show the source memories behind each insight
- Confirmed insights remain available for future duplicate detection
Fixes and polish
- Edit, append, and forget dialogs now display correctly above the outdated-memory queue
- Resolved memories disappear from the queue immediately
- The outdated-memory count always matches the review list
- Several capture, recall, and dashboard reliability issues have been addressed
