About Table2TAMS (v. 1.1) Table2TAMS is a simple application that takes data which is in table form (tab delimited aka tab separated format) and converts it to coded TAMS data. You can use any spreadsheet to create the data but you will need to save it as a tab-separated file. The first row of the table are the codes that are applied to each subsequent row, each of which represents “a case”—but that could mean an interview, a subject, a location, or anything else that you’ve collected data on. In this version a single code (determined by that first row) is applied to each member of the column. In addition a “case number” is coded. By default that code is “_case,” but you can change it in the Table2TAMS dialogue. If you leave it blank then Table2TAMS will not provide a coded case number. If you do code a “case number” remember to declare it as a context variable in your init file!
