I stumbled across Syllable about a year ago, but had never enough time to dig into it much deeper. now installed on a AMD K6 III system with 630MB RAM it s "horrendrously" fast and has a graphic environment or desktop, that exactly fits my wishes and I hope, the good work continues.... a very fine piece of equipm.... ooops, software!!! ;-)

A free stuff always makes anyone happy! But unfortunately the windows & Mac is still ruling the OS world :(

Syllable is a very capable OS for a PC hobbyist with some older hardware. It is much more intriguing than the behemoth Linux stack and a lot less intimidating to pick up. Hopefully development will continue long into the future.
