Summa 2 brings the current Rust search engine into the original Summa repository, with a consistent namespace across libraries, clients, binaries, deployment configuration, metrics and documentation.
Packages
- Rust:
summa-core,summa-proto,summa-server,summa-broker,summa-tool,summa-mal, andsumma-tokenizer. - npm:
summa-wasmandsumma-client-typescript. - PyPI:
summa-client-pythonandsumma-mal(source distribution). - Container:
ghcr.io/spacefrontiers/summa/summa-server:2.0.0, containing the server and broker binaries.
Upgrade
Upgrade clients, servers and brokers together: RPC service names now use summa
and summa.broker. Update imports, command names, environment variables,
monitoring configuration and deployment names. Browser storage and training
artifacts use the new namespace.
The immediately preceding 1.9.1 search-index encodings and TQ fingerprints are preserved. Original Summa 0.x indexes require rebuilding from source documents. See the migration guide.
Documentation
The blog retains the original articles with targeted factual corrections and adds tutorials on dense retrieval and sparse retrieval.
