stygmorgan website at is out. software developer (Josep Andreu / Holborn) seems to have abandoned this project (and others also). The latest release is 0.29.1 and it is impossible to compile it since ubuntu Lucid 32 bits release. 64 bits compilation has never been possible. There is no debian package available for ordinary users. Furthermore program documentation is in spanish (fortunately program use is very intuitive). It is probably for all these reasons that this software has not met success. It is too bad because it is the successor of gmorgan with many improvements and is certainly the better "musical workstation" for linux. However with some minor corrections in sources it is possible to compile and run stygmorgan. in /src/stygmorgan.h 1) replace in line 498 long ChM; by int ChM ; (this is needed for compatibility with file /data/MisStyles.STYR) 2) replace in line 607 char Nom[10]; by char Nom[16]; (for correct display of five fingers chord names) do not forgot to save after changes. dev files to install before compilation : libfltk1.3-dev, libasound2-dev, libxpm-dev and libxft-dev. I created a debian package from original sources 0.29.1 with executable resulting from Lucid 32 bits compilation. This 32 bits package is perfectly running with all new releases of ubuntu (32 and 64 bits) since Lucid with libfltk1.1 "" This second package is for trusty 64 and include modifications as mentioned above, is internationalized ready (fr) and use libfltk1.3. For those interested to translate in other language, the fr po file is available in /usr/local/share/locale/fr/LC_MESSAGES/ "" Sources are here "" Enjoy
