=== Package types === == pyz == This is a native Python ZIP application. You can run it per `python st2.pyz` as is. Or make it executable even. All required files are self-contained. However it doesn't define or install any required Python dependencies by itself. == rpm == RedHat/Fedora/SuSE package. → The listed dependencies may not match with all RPM distros. == deb == Debian/Ubuntu/Mint package. → Should work for installation right away. == src.txz == Literal source code repository backup. → You don't need this to "build from source". It's all Python code, and does not need the Makefile really. (You can use `make install` though.) == bin.txz == This is a raw tarball of how files should be installed on a target system. → It's basically the RPM/DEB without any meta data. It defaults to the /usr/share/streamtuner2/ directory, and unpacks everything else in the usual places. == exe == NOT A WINDOWS INSTALLER. It's just a graphical unzip. While ST2 might work on Windows, you'll need a real Python installation first. It's perhaps more practical to just use the PYZ package.
