HacknFly has stuck with this project for years updating it as Windows and PPJoy then Vjoy constantly changed. It is completely configurable but does require you to learn how to program it. Another review mentioned that some of the help guide's info is old. That is true but there is a steady resource of questions, different ideas of programing and a full log of all the progress put into this driver. You can find it in the Mechwarrior Online forums under steel battalion controller and win 7 64 bit drivers. (can't put links in reviews :P) There is a constant rotation of SBC users who can answer questions and give pointers.

Gave this a shot with a Steel Battalion controller that I received a few days ago. It was a bit confusing at first since the tutorial in the wiki and other information was used for the old versions of the project. It took me awhile to learn that it does not even need to install drivers and can just work on the go with Vjoy and the application that is in the release folder. With the application it works perfectly, lights go on when I press buttons, the joy sticks work and the pedals work as you would expect them to. Although there are a few problems, one is both the tuner dial, gear switcher and the sight change joystick on the left stick are flunky, from what I could find the gear switcher was use to change the settings on that joystick, even setting it to R or 5 does not change much with the settings, from what I have seen. Also it seems to affect slider and x rotation (or was it y, Cant remember) at the same time. Plus the main weapon button seems to be link to the keyboard "c" button for some reason. Not sure if was due to installation, my computer settings, the applications, or all of them together. Last few things is that when I plug my controller in, I do get the unknown device warning, not sure if that is supposed to be like that or it needs to say what the device is and lastly some games due have trouble setting up the controls. For example I tried playing "Sky Rouge" on steam to give the joystick a shot, but it had trouble recognizing the button presses, and all I could do was look around, probably because it thought it was a Xbox controller maybe? Either way, I should be able to play some games with this and having the chance to do that is amazing!! Good job and I hope to see more updates on this soon.
