StarMiner (also known as "*Miner") is a Linux based image design to be used for the digital currency or "crypto currency" mining purposes.
Most people in the "crypto currency" arena want to be able to "plug and play" (or "mine" in this case) an ASIC (Application Specific Integrated Circuit) device to a simple system, put in the desired mining pool targets, and have this device "just do it". This means keeping things as simple as possible. StarMiner is designed for such purposes.
Under The Hood
StarMiner includes the following Projects that are Open Source based noted in the "Features" section below.
StarMiner currently is designed to run on a Raspberry Pi "Model B".

This is a really great program.
I have a growing mining operation with various different scrypt mining ASICs. At this point I've tried every mining distro for the raspberry pi, and starminer is by far the best, particularly when it comes to quickly releasing incredibly consistent updates that keep up with the rapid pace of the mining hardware world. Keep up the good work, guys!
Starminer has been great. I threw multiple different devices at it and it handled it without a problem. I've tested just about every software there is and this is the best. The web interface makes things extremely easy to get started. Using ssh is just as easy there is a great menu and everything is explained making it easy for anyone. The developer is also extremely available and does a terrific job supporting this.
Using this distro to run several Gridseed miners on a Raspberry Pi. I had become discouraged with these ASICs because when using other distros and images, I always had problems with lockups, freezing, disconnects, and all-around instability - and I thought the hardware must be to blame. This completely changed when I began using Starminer. The stability is excellent and allows my miners to run at the optimal 360Kh/s for days. Very easy to use from the web GUI if that's your thing, but just as easy to SSH in and view the mining software and make changes from within as well. Highly recommended!
