This project now hosts the successor to the original J2SSH API; J2SSH Maverick. This new API was built from the ground up by the original author of J2SSH back in 2003 and has been maintained and available since then exclusively under a commercial license. This API is now available to the community under the LGPL open source license.

The project continues to host both the original API and legacy applications created around it, however these are now considered deprecated and we do not recommend their use in anyway.

  • I am facing problem with the J2ssh library in my application where it get hangs very often. import com.sshtools.j2ssh.SshClient; import com.sshtools.j2ssh.authentication.AuthenticationProtocolState; import com.sshtools.j2ssh.authentication.PasswordAuthenticationClient; import com.sshtools.j2ssh.session.SessionChannelClient; ssh = new SshClient(); ssh.setSocketTimeout(10000); ssh.connect(hostname, port); --->> It gets stuck at this point. PasswordAuthenticationClient pwd = new PasswordAuthenticationClient(); pwd.setUsername(username); pwd.setPassword(password); result = ssh.authenticate(pwd); I believe the setSocketTimeout is not throwing any exception. Can anyone please provide me with a solution. Thanks
