Speedy Mail Software will be a web based mail software based on Python, Django, jQuery and JavaScript. We are looking for Python & jQuery/JavaScript developers to join this project. We will try to have features to be as similar as possible to Gmail - with labels (each message or thread may have several labels, or none), filters (which apply labels automatically), 12 different stars, composing more than one mail at a time, etc.
