This is a port of the 1982 Hobbit Text Adventure (By Veronika Megler and Philip Mitchell, published by Melbourne House) to OSX. The main versions ported are the ZX Spectrum 48K version and the Commodore 64 Disk version).

The application also includes a version that is an educated guess of what the original TRS-80 development version would have looked like (on the Dick Smith System 80), coupled with a "Special Edition" version with all new graphics.

A final version is also included, based on the 128K Spectrum version assembled by the "World of Spectrum" forum (but using the C64 extended location descriptions).

Alongside the game is a small "museum" of information about The Hobbit and the various versions that were released from 1982 - 1985.

It was written as a "Hello World" exercise to learn about Swift, Cocoa and vector illustration (using Autodesk Graphic).

No longer opens on recent MacOs without right-click open and accepting security warning. Map images inverted.
