📂 Public Storage access for External Players (Android/APK)
- Public Documents Directory: Downloaded songs are now saved in your device's public
Documents/SoulSync/folder instead of the app's private, sandbox directory. - Friendly Filenames: Files are saved using clean, recognizable filenames:
[Artist] - [Song Title].m4a. This allows other local players (such as VLC, MX Player, or default system Music players) and file managers to scan, index, and play your downloaded music directly as local MP3/M4A files. - Filename Sanitization: System-incompatible characters (like
/,\,?,%,*,:,|,<,>) are automatically sanitized to prevent filesystem write errors.
📱 Downloads Page UI Improvements
- Header-Aligned Upload Icon: Relocated the Import Local Audio (Upload) button from the center of the screen on mobile to the top right of the Downloads header. This ensures it is always accessible and leaves more screen space for the actual list of downloads.
- Pruned Empty State: Cleaned up the center empty state by removing the redundant centered button, giving the interface a sleeker, premium look.

🐛 Mobile APK Fixes
- Resolved Disappearing Downloads: Fixed a critical bug where downloads would progress to 100% and then immediately vanish on Android WebViews by bypassing IndexedDB Blob writes and relying on public storage.
- Fixed Local Audio Import Playback: Fixed a bug where importing local files from the device resulted in a blank player state and immediate song skipping. Local imported songs are now successfully written to the native public storage folder (
Documents/SoulSync/) and played directly from the local URI path. - Startup Rehydration: Removed the
!isNative()check on startup, enabling automatic downloads list hydration from IndexedDB for both APK and Web platforms. - Native Storage Cleanup: Fixed a storage leak by wiring up physical file deletion to the swipe-delete action.
