Snoopy implements a lot of the quirks that must be used when imitating a web browser, such as http-equiv redirects. However, it uses regular expressions instead of an HTML parser to parse HTML. Also, it appears to completely implement the HTTP protocol. Perhaps these behaviors enable it to appear more like a normal browser and work around very badly-formed HTML, but I would rather use a library which takes advantage of libcurl and also libxml's HTML parser.

Usefull to support redirection and manage time-out. Long time included into MyLastRSS project (PHP class to parse feeds) which is used on YMobActus (french news aggregator) and LiFE2Front (lifestream experimental platform).

excellant for most uses. but I wish they would also add the equivalent of client.getParams().setCookiePolicy(CookiePolicy.BROWSER_COMPATIBILITY); {org.apache.commons.httpclient} as this class does not work with some form logins like twitter etc I even tried $oSnoopy->setcookies()
