Sleep♯ v4.2.2
~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sleep♯ is an automated sleep manager for VLC, Windows Media Player and fullscreen web browser videos which are programmed to leave fullscreen on cessation e.g. Google Play Movies & TV.
Sleep♯ runs silently in the background until it detects the end of a fullscreen video, in which case it will send the computer to sleep if Windows has been idle and the video has been playing for a specified amount of time. There is a configurable grace period during which the screen fades to black where you have the option of halting the process if you are still awake by moving the mouse or pressing a key.
A custom remote for Unified Remote allows countdown timer viewing/adjustments and basic media controls. You can also clear any countdown or trigger the grace period immediately. Rewind (10 seconds) is supported with Windows Media Player Plus!, VLC and Netflix (Windows 10).
There is also a secure Instant Lock Mode, allowing you to play a video, safe in the knowledge that when it ends or is ended by a user, the system will immediately lock or log off. In this mode, there is no grace period.
Finally, there is a manual countdown timer, which will sleep/hibernate/or turn off the screen when the elapsed time is reached, providing the system is idle. If a grace period has been set, Sleep♯ will fade the screen to black, allowing you to interrupt the process should you still be awake.
You will need .NET Framework 4 (at least client profile) or later to install/run Sleep♯.
Please note, this application will by default launch automatically after a reboot. If you wish to stop this behaviour, you will need to remove the shortcut from your Start Menu's Startup folder after installation, but you will lose the benefit of not having to run Sleep♯ before starting your video.
