Download slax for USB (ftp://ftp.linux.cz/pub/linux/slax/SLAX-6.x/slax-6.0.6.tar)
Download the package slaxGIS-080402B.tar(http://sourceforge.net/projects/slaxgis/files/slaxGIS-080402/slaxGIS-080402B.tar/download)
In the following order:
1. Unpack slax-6.0.x.tar to the root of your USB flash drive
2. Unpack slaxGIS-080402B.tar to the root of your USB flash drive

As a result you should get a directory tree as the one depicted in the image.
Now you have to make your USB flash drive bootable, hence, from the /boot directory on it, execute:
- bootinst.sh if you're working in Linux
- bootinst.bat if you're working in Windows
It could be necessary to modify the BIOS on your machine in order to make it seek the operating system on the USB drive on boot (depending on the BIOS, you will have to choose USB-HDD, USB-ZIP, etc).

Reboot your machine with the USB flash drive connected.

Scaricare il pacchetto slaxGIS-080402B.tar (http://sourceforge.net/projects/slaxgis/files/slaxGIS-080402/slaxGIS-080402B.tar/download)
Nell'ordine:
1. Spacchettare slax-6.0.x.tar nella directory radice della propria chiavetta USB
2. Spacchettare slaxGIS-080402B.tar nella directory radice della propria chiavetta USB.

Come risultato si dovrebbe ottenere una struttura di directory come quella indicata qui di fianco.
A questo punto è necessario installare il boot sulla chiavetta:
andare nella directory /boot della chiavetta e,
- se si lavora da linux eseguire bootinst.sh
- se si lavora da windows eseguire bootinst.bat
Può essere necessario infine modificare il BIOS del proprio PC in modo che all'avvio vada a cercare il sistema operativo sulla chiavetta USB (a seconda del tipo di BIOS si dovrà scegliere USB-HDD, USB-ZIP, ecc).

Riavviare il PC con la chiavetta USB inserita.
