Network sheep-dip client installation package ============================================= This package creates a directory structure, installs the network sheep-dip client GUI program and help files, places an icon on the desktop for all users, and adds links to the Windows start menu. It automatically configures the installation to work in your own local environment, provided that you edit a config file so that it contains the correct local settings (see below): Preparing package for use in your own organisation ================================================== Edit the file ServerNames.config so that the domain names and corresponding network sheep-dip server names match your own environment. The standard ServerNames.config which is available for download contains domain and server names from the SheepDip project's development environment, which can be safely discarded. Once this file has been edited you are ready to start installing the client on users' computers. Installing network sheep-dip client =================================== Copy this entire directory to the hard disc of the computer where the client is to be installed. Double-click setup.exe to start the installation process. The installer should automatically identify the current domain and its local network sheep-dip server. Shortcuts to the network sheep-dip client will be created on the desktop and in the start menu. Delete this directory after installation is complete. It is no longer required.
