[S.b] (Server Benchmark) was developed specifically to give system administrators, architects, and developers the ability to control and leverage processor and memory benchmarks throughout the provisioning process. 

[S.b] has several very powerful benchmarking features and was designed to work with your new and existing infrastructure (server, VMware, XenDesktop, XenApp, Citrix, and desktop OS).

To launch [s.b], simply double click on serverbenchmark.exe (no installation needed). 

To start the Processor Benchmark, Key in how many threads you would like to use. •If you would like to allow [s.b] to dynamically choose how many threads to use, set the value of the text box to the left of 'SET Threads' to 0. [Hint] Using one thread per processor is a good start, feel free to toggle as needed until you get the intended performance. 

To start the processor benchmark or burn-in process, click on 'START Processor Benchmark'. Once the processor benchmark starts, you will see how many threads have been dispatched and how many increments per/second are processed. •[note] The processor benchmark uses a custom time algorithm designed to work the processor and requires no additional controls or requirements. 

To start the utilizing the Memory Benchmark: key in any random text, number, or special characters in the second text box below 'Array Builder (Memory Bench)'. [hint] Depending on the amount of text, each thread and thread increment will copy the string to memory and you will see a gradual increase in memory utilization. There is currently a 32k character limit. The more characters, the faster you will reach the desired memory bench parameters.
