Serial Profile Plotter For Reflow Ovens Files

Pellicci's Reflow Oven Profile Plotter Utility information:

Reflow Oven Profile Plotter Utility is a freeware application to graph temperature vs time data sent typically from a homemade reflow oven  controller (eg: Arduino based) via serial port to a PC or notebook running Windows 7. This aplication is only for Windows operating systems but has not yet been tested with  other Windows operating systems other than Windows 7. The graph generated has two vertical axis for temperature (real-time oven temp and setpoint  temperature in degrees C). Horizontal axis is time (seconds). 

1. Plots for each run, including serial telemetry data, can be named and saved to disk with date and time stamp and can be  reloaded at a later time to display both graph and telemetry data if desired. 
For telemetry data and plot:
File->Save Telemetry As... (.rts) or
File->Open Telemetry (.rts) or

For graph bitmap file only (no telemetry data is saved):
File->Save Graph As... (.bmp)
File->Open Graph (.bmp)

2. Parametric alert indicator presets can be shown on the graph for both temperature thresholds (eg:  soak, reflow, peak) as well  as time markers (eg: ramp-to-soak , peak temperature time, etc.) and they can be user configured.   
Setup->Setup Alert Points

3. Audible alerts are also available to indicate start of each phase:
Settings->Notification Settings->Enable Alert Sounds

4. Active cursor can be used to display data at each point on the graph.To use, hold down either the CTL key or the SHIFT key and  move the mouse cursor to any point on the plot. The data at that point will be diplayed (temperature @ time).

5. Profiles for both lead free (RoHS) and leaded (Pb) can be selected and saved independently:

6. Serial telemetry data format must be text (ASCII) and sent in packets, one packet for each second of time interval as follows:
time (in sequence, seconds),oven temperature (deg C),setpoiont temperature (deg C)\r\n
eg:  
1,36.25,100\r\n
2,37.00,100\r\n
3,37.50,100\r\n
...

7. Baud rate and Com Port are selectable on Serial Port / Terminal tab.  Data is 8 bits,N,1

8. The utility plots the telemetry data as it is received. You can view either the raw data using the Serial Port/Terminal tab or the plot (Profile Plot tab).

9. The plot can have a generic reflow profile graph superimposed on it for reference if so desired: 
Settings->Notification Settings->Show Generic Background Plot

10. Both temperature and time event indicator lines can be drawn on the graph and displayed along with the oven temperature plot  as references to monitor how the reflow process is going. These can be switched on or off via:
Settings->Notification Settings->Show Alert Settings on Main Plot
