"I use SeaMonkey Composer. Over 20 years."

    Posted 2025-10-04

Pros: I'm not an HTML / CSS/ ... person, but I have built and maintained my personal sailing / nerd web pages (40 different pages, and counting) for many years, using only SeaMonkey Composer. WYSIWYG make it super easy to use. And free. I don't use the other SeaMonkey tools, just the editor.
It is the successor from Netscape, so lots of history.

Cons: I'm sure there are better and more modern tools for making simple web pages, but none as easy and cheap as SeaMonkey. I can't make fancy, active web pages with it. I use external blogs for that, and just include links. Same with Youtube videos.

Overall: Very good, over 20 years of regular use. Every year or so I look for a modern replacement, and don't find one that comes close.

    "Recommended All-in-One Internet Application Suite"

    Posted 2020-06-26

Pros: Complete suite of applications for internet usage
    Free to use
Lightweight feature rich browser based on Firefox
    Email & IRC Chat client
    Composer - powerful HTML editor
    Regular Updates
Large number of add-ons, themes & extensions
    Great community support

Cons: It is excellent - simple and powerful - for those who just want pure functionality. It is not widely popular due to its old look and no marketing.

Overall: SeaMonkey is a free & simple application suite comprising of a browser, email client, IRC chat client, HTML Editor and web development tools. It is quite powerful tool-set and is free to use.
