Added
- Line Gradient (Color, [#99], requested by @Devon0209): a screen-space colour ramp for vertex paint and textures,
its ends adjustable before you keep it (Enter; Esc takes it back); respects the mask, one undo step. Script:
paint_gradient. - Part folders (#96, thanks @ebarranco): folders in the Parts list; drag Parts in and out, fold, rename, hide and show, and move a whole folder with the gizmo's new Folder option. Saved in projects; older versions open them without folders.
- Hyper3D Rodin (direct) in Generate 3D and the
image_to_3d/text_to_3dcommands (service=hyper3d,model=a Gen-2.5 tier): Hyper3D's own API with your key (system keychain only; no environment variable, no shared or trial key). One pinned https host for the API, the key sent nowhere else; the GLB only from Hyper3D's domains, capped at 200 MB and checked before import, kept in a private temporary folder deleted after import; polling backs off to 30 s. Studios: provider idhyper3din the policy, one audit log line per generation. Thanks to ElgoogUdiab for suggesting it (#123); re-implemented in house from Hyper3D's public API documentation. - Cancel for Auto UV (Tool > Texture Map), beside its progress bar.
Changed
- The console keeps one line for a job's progress ("Auto UV: 42%") instead of one line per percent.
Fixed
- Dense meshes over the triangle budget lost their vertex colour (paint layers included) and mask while the view moved (the coarse level 0.11.7 draws then had none) and showed them again at rest. The coarse level now carries each cell's mean colour and mask from the full mesh, updated when a paint stroke ends.
- The input style's keys for the Size slider, the Material picker and Save Snapshot came back as the Classic defaults after a restart (Blender style: F no longer showed the Size slider, S and M opened the Size slider and the Material picker) until the style was picked again in Preferences > Input; your own rebinds were not affected (#147, thanks @Velisariy).
- Auto UV from the console, a script or an AI tool (
uv_auto) froze the app while it unwrapped: about 10 s on a 327k-triangle sculpt. It now runs on the same worker as the Auto UV button, so frames keep drawing (longest frame under 100 ms, floor tier included). The next statement on the line, the AI tool's reply and a UI test's next step wait for the UVs, souv_auto; texture_createstill works in one go. Macros keep running it in place. - UV Editor > Pack froze the app on UDIM grids (about 18 s for a 10 x 2 grid on the lion head on a laptop, 11 s for 4 x 3): the shape packer's search now runs several densities at once, coarse first, stops as soon as an island can't be kept whole, and keeps its quarter-resolution layout instead of packing everything again at full size. 10 x 2 on the lion: 18 s -> 0.04 s. Pack, Pack at Density and every Unwrap now run on a worker thread with a progress bar and Cancel under the view.
- Packing could shrink some islands and lay them over their neighbours: the shape packer's quarter turns mirror an island, which the fit back onto the island couldn't follow. Islands are now only turned to their smallest box first; layouts are up to 6% denser and no longer overlap.
- Pack's status line could report more than 100% of the space used (an island bigger than a tile is shrunk to fit one); it is now measured.
