Changed
- The membership card at launch is redesigned: the cube mark and the promise up top, the three memberships side by side with their perks checked off and one bold button each (Insider highlighted), and the members' Discord in the footer. It takes the current look's colours and opens in 150 ms. "Maybe later" now hides it for 30 days, updates included; the welcome's Support button and the ten-hour note open it too.
- New memberships; nothing in the app is ever paywalled. Supporter ($5 / month): your name in the credits (in the app and on the new supporters page), #members, a vote in the monthly feature vote and the monthly pack. Insider ($20 / month): also proposing vote options, a daily drop (a brush, alpha or VDM), preview builds of the next release about a week early and the monthly dev Q&A. "Every release stays free for everyone; bug-fix and security releases go out to everyone the same day." Studio ($300 / month) covers the whole company with no seat count: Insider for every artist, a custom studio build, up to 5 custom items a month, guided development, priority triage, a private team channel and the logo on the website and README; Founding Studio: the first 10 studios lock in $150 / month for good. The card, Help > About, the welcome, the website and the guide (with a new Studio onboarding section) say so; the monthly pack and Insider drops show as Member pack in Library > Packs (was Supporter Pack).
- Insider preview builds: a workflow publishes the tested packages of a commit as a prerelease in the private
Insiders repository and posts to #insiders (
.github/workflows/insider-preview.yml).
Fixed
- Custom and Community brushes (Clay Slab and other presets) show the whole alpha at Focal Shift -100, as the built-in brushes do since [#60]: the stamp reaches its square's corners instead of being cut by the preset's round tip (#75, reported by rodrigomoretto). At the default Focal Shift presets look as before; saved presets are unchanged.
Added
- A new default look: new installs start in Forge Terminal with the Tokyo Night colours and the
SculptForge layout (menus by task: File, Edit, Sculpt, Paint, Mesh, View, Render, Help, whose sections are the
palettes; a status bar; a one-row tool shelf). Existing installs keep their look and layout, and see a one-time card,
"SculptForge has a new look", with Try it and Keep my layout. The welcome offers Coming from ZBrush? Use the
ZBrush-style layout in one click, and Preferences > Interface > Look switches any time. The look is remembered
without Store Config. Also in Preferences > Interface > Look: the Classic look, Forge Terminal with Tokyo
Night, Catppuccin Mocha, Gruvbox Dark, Nord, Rosé Pine, Kanagawa or Everforest colours or Match my desktop
theme (on Linux, the Omarchy theme's colours when Omarchy is installed), Phosphor (green or amber, optional scanlines and glow on the interface only) and Blueprint.
Scripts:
ui_look.
Fixed
- Switching looks no longer grows the interface's minimum window size each time (the Sculpt Timeline strip covered the axis gizmo at 2400x1350).
- A stored SculptForge-layout UI configuration without shelves gets the SculptForge layout's shelves, not the ZBrush-style ones.
Changed
- Linux: the native Wayland support is now documented (installing guide, site, README): every Linux package opens without XWayland, stays sharp at fractional scales and reads pen pressure through tablet-v2. A test checks the Linux build's SDL has both the Wayland and X11 drivers, and the RHEL/Rocky builds now include libdecor (title bars on GNOME Wayland).
Added
- Standard benchmark scenes:
sculptforge --benchmark standard-15m(andstandard-33m, orstandardfor both; also Help > Benchmark) sculpts a procedural 15 or 33 million triangle head with Clay at 25, 60 and 120 px, Move, Smooth and a 240 px brush, and reports frame time p50/p95/p99, stroke lag in pixels, the worst stall, peak RAM and graphics memory. The benchmarks page lists results, explains how to run it in three steps and how to submit yours (tools/benchmark/submit.pyor the new Benchmark result issue form).
