Added
- Update channel (Preferences > Updates): Stable or Preview. Preview is also offered the betas, which the update
feed lists under
channels.preview. It is never offered anything older than the stable release. Betas are GitHub pre-releases (vX.Y.Z-beta.N). They show "X.Y.Z Beta N" in the title bar and About.
Changed
- Version comparison in the update check: a prerelease sorts before its version (0.11.0-beta.1 < 0.11.0), and betas compare by number.
- Voxel Remesh is 3-4 times faster with the same result (Discord, ThinkingPolygons and GABO): every stage runs on all cores, the distance to the old surface is only computed in a narrow band around it, and the flood fills work a run at a time. A 500,000-triangle sculpt at the default resolution 200 takes about 0.3 s instead of 1.1 s; 2 million triangles about 0.6 s instead of 2 s; resolution 400 about 1.1 s instead of 6 s (10-core laptop).
- SculptForge now uses only its own names in the app, guide, website and listings: Classic sculpting keys and the
Classic layout (Preferences, first-start welcome), File > Bridge (Send, Receive, Import / Export Bridge
file), Lit Spheres, Parts, Face groups, Vertex Paint, Library. Brushes are stored as SharpCrease, ClayBlock and
Tendril (old names in projects, brush files, scripts and configs still load); the library's lit-sphere folder is now
Documents/SculptForge/Lit Spheres(an existing folder moves over once). The export plug-in isSculptForgeBridgeExport.txt, with its setup on the Bridge setup page. A new check (tools/check_marks.py, ctestmarks) keeps third-party product names out of what we publish.
Fixed
- Windows at 150-200 % display scaling (#105, a 2560x1600 laptop): the window opened at its 100 % size, 800-1067 logical px wide, and the shelves and status bar ran past its right edge. The window now opens inside the screen's usable area at the display's scale (maximised when that doesn't fit), its title bar on screen, and keeps its logical size when the scale changes; the status bar drops its readouts before they reach the menus.
- The right tray stayed closed and wouldn't open on screens under 1920 px with Forge Terminal, Phosphor or Blueprint (#107, thanks ebarranco): the tiled looks' gaps made a 1280 px window count as too narrow for a tray.
- The QuickMenu (right click) squashed its brush, alpha and material thumbnails and had a blue tint in the Neutral look (thanks ThinkingPolygons): the thumbnails are square and uncropped, the background the look's grey.
- Voxel Remesh no longer freezes the app: it always runs in the background with a progress bar and Cancel (before, only when keeping a painted texture). Smoothing a remeshed surface and carrying mask and colour over also run in parallel.

which file to pick, or install with one command:
curl -fsSL https://raw.githubusercontent.com/islandmed/SculptForge/main/install/install.sh | sh (macOS / Linux),

Each file is also attached without its version number (e.g. SculptForge-macos.dmg) so links to
releases/latest/download/... always get the newest build.
