    Assolutamente imparagonabile sia a QuarkXPress 9.5 che, a maggior ragione, ad Adobe Indesign 6.0 !!! Non si tratta di sapere o non sapere usare il computer (come dicono 'i sapientoni'_alias presuntuosi_del blog!),ma ha voluto fare ed integrare funzioni 'non semplici',ma,anzi ,'complesse',che non era il caso di im- plementare, 'per distinguersi' da Quark e Indesign,che,beninteso hanno un prezzo 'molto alto',ma sono dei Programmi di Desktop Publishing supervalidi e professionali. L'unico punto a favore per Scribus che è 'gra- tis' e proprio per ciò mi sembra che voglia fare 'troppo l'esibizionista', complicando eccessivamente fun- zioni e semplicità di utilizzazione ad ogni livello. Tuttavia grande lode agli sviluppatori ed al loro lavoro, peraltro encomiabile,beninteso! Si vede che chi si è abituato a Scribus lo ha fatto perchè non può permet- tersi di acquistare,giustamente,Quark e Indesign,ma dire che,solo perchè 'gratuito' sarebbe superiore,è un paradosso che deriva appunto dal poter usufruire di uno strumento che 'appaga perchè gratis' e non perchè ha le qualità che avrebbe rispetto ai rivali denigrati perchè costano una cifra!!! Qui sta tutta la verità o la realtà dei fatti e non altro. Almeno questo è il mio parere!

    Scribus doesn't like the architecture of my Mac. So I look for a version that will work and find no information whatever. I download a zip file, but when it is expanded it is not a Mac application. This website needs a lot of work.

    After 20 minutes of war against the installer I run it on my PC and later on MAC, can do a really nice PDF shots with Scribus! Thank you

    Scribus is a great program if you want to produce clean, professional-looking publications. I publish a monthly 32-page magazine, and I like the lockable text boxes, which can be sized and positioned precisely, text-linked quickly and easily, resized, moved around, without losing the links if you don't want to, so I can keep the boxes for the next issue, or change them easily as needed. Scribus is a more of a challenge than other programs, partly because they seem to have more and better programmers than manual writers! But the results are well worth it. I used Scribus years ago, was told to change software (for a reason that turned out wrong), used other, paid programs, and came back to Scribus because I liked it better. My readers tell me they like the magazine better, too.

    Invaluable! Been using it for years and couldn't live without it. One of the best FREE packages available. I can't understand why anyone would write a negative review, maybe they just don't know how to use a computer...?

    I doubt I'll find the time to teach myself to use Scribus because of the unfamiliar way it works. I can't afford the time to adapt to Gimp either so for that reason continue with the constant upgrade mess the big A find so profitable.
