Scid (Shane's Chess Information Database) is a chess database application for Windows, Linux and Mac OS X operating systems. With Scid you can maintain a database of chess games, search games by many criteria, view graphical trends, and produce printable reports on players and openings. You can also analyze games with the Xboard or UCI compatible chess program, play online on FICS, and even use Scid to study endings with endgame tablebases. Scid is free software and it's released under the GPL license. Mac and Linux users are encouraged to compile the source code ( http://sourceforge.net/p/scid/wiki/CompileScid/ ) Windows user can download one of the precompiled binaries (for 32-bit or 64-bit windows O.S.) If you need help or want to be part of the community and contribute to the project you should join the mailing list: http://sourceforge.net/p/scid/mailman/scid-users/
