This is a hacked version of Sun's ufs for Solaris 2.6 (sparc)
You need star-1.2a2 to have a useful application.

It re-inplements the ioctl() _FIOAI to speed up star's handling of
sparce files > 200 times

To install:

1)	copy /etc/system to /etc/system.orig
	If you have a mofified version of /etc/system you will have to
	edit manually. The tar file contains a modified "moddir" only.

2)	uncompress that tar archive.

3)	as root go to "/" and extract the tar archive.
	the archive contains a ufs filesystem module that installs in /etc/kernel/ufs
	It does not overwrite /kernel/fs/ufs !!!
	If you reboot, it will use the new moddir search path and load /etc/kernel/fs/ufs
	instead of /kernel/fs/ufs

Disaster recovery:

boot -asbw
	answer all questions with <CR> except the question for /etc system
	in this case answer /etc/system.orig
sbin/mount -r /usr
mv /etc/system.orig /etc/system
sync
reboot
