  • Error: $./samtools: /lib64/libz.so.1: version `ZLIB_1.2.3.3' not found (required by ./samtools) How can I fix this problem? THX

  • Brilliant idea, code is not robust. Doesn't check return status of malloc, other libraries. One shouldn't have to use gdb to understand an expected error.

  • on 64bit centos make (samtools 0.1.18.tar.bz2) fails with No rule to make target ../kstring.o needed by `bcftools' Bill
