Exports Rocksmith 2014 arrangements to Guitar Pro tabs (.gp5, .gpx). It parses Rocksmith's .psarc archives and converts any songs found within to tablature. All the Rocksmith techniques are supported and translated, and you get all of the chord diagrams and fingering hints that Rocksmith shows you. It's a great way to figure out specific parts of a song, and Guitar Pro's speed trainer is a very good alternative to the riff repeater. All arrangement types (bass, lead, rhythm) can be exported, either together in a single tab or into separate tabs.

Features

  • Can export any installed Rocksmith 2014 songs, including on-disc content, dlc, import RS1 songs as well as custom dlcs
  • Can export tabs to either .gp5 format (Guitar Pro 5/6/Mobile, TuxGuitar) or .gpx format (Guitar Pro 6)
  • All Rocksmith features are supported and exported, including legato techniques, bends, palm and fret-hand mutes and chord diagrams
  • All available arrangements (lead, rhythm, bass) can be exported, either into the same tab file or into separate files
  • For the most part, produces readable rhythm notation, although it may occasionally become a bit weird, particulary in fast solos

User Reviews

  • Works great.
  • Very nice conversion tool. Good complement to MuseScore3 (prefer gp5 export)
  • I used this program to convert all my Rocksmith 2014 songs to gpx format and it worked great. Loade d a couple of tabs to verify the results and everything seems to be fine. Many thanks to Holger Frydrych and the people who created the Rocksmith Custom Toolkit.
  • A simple to use utility that converts all your Rocksmith 2014 tabs to GuitarPro 5, 6 and other formats. It is simple, elegant and appears to be rock solid. Thank you. One little critique: when the process is done for all files there isn't a dialogue to say so - nor does this appear in the visual log that is automatically generated. It's not a problem, but would be a nice thing to know the process is complete and the app can be closed.
  • I created a source forge account for the express purpose of saying HOW AWESOME THIS APP IS!!!! The GUI is dead simple. Using the defaults allowed me to convert ALL the Rocksmith songs I have, including all the DLC I've purchased, too. All I had to do was press the button to use the default settings, which are perfect. I tried to use the command line just for fun and gave up after oh, about 3 minutes. In all honesty, the program converts all the files in about 5 minutes or less. Go tune your guitar and warm up your amp. It will be done by the time you are ready to play. Unless you are crushed for disk space, just convert them all. The files, once converted use about 17 MB on disk. If you have less than that you have bigger problems. I tried downloading the trial version of Guitar Pro 6, but found I couldn't open the converted files unless I got the paid version. No problem - I downloaded TuxGuitar and reconverted the files. Opened up the file in TuxGuitar and it looks and sounds great! From there I was able to export to ASCII and I now have a hard copy to carry around with me and practice when I get the chance. Now, the app isn't perfect. I found myself wishing there was a way to convert a single song in the GUI, but that would be a waste of effort. It's just so fast at converting all of them. The file naming default is perfect as far as I can tell. What I WOULD like to see is an ASCII output option. Do you have any idea how many Rocksmith players are looking for tabs that match the game? I honestly don't know why this hasn't been downloaded more often! I'm going to the forums to post a how to. The quality of the one tab seems pretty good to me. It has the bends, slides, palm mutes, and the solo seems to match what I did by hand. Exporting to ASCII from TuxGuitar I lost some of those extras, but that's on TuxGuitar, not RocksmithToTab. THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!!
