RMMZit 0.8.0 — network checks and disk health.
New
- Network checks (policy part): addresses every device of the policy checks every minute from its own network — ping (router, printer, server), a TCP port (for example a database) or a web address that must answer without an HTTP error and with a valid certificate. An alert opens when a check fails longer than its minutes, and 14 days before the certificate of a web address expires. The device's overview shows each check with its response time.
- Disk health: once an hour (and with Refresh) devices report their physical disks — on Windows what the disks report to Windows (SMART health, temperature, SSD wear, uncorrected errors) and Storage Spaces disks; on Linux SMART through
smartctl(smartmontools) and md software RAID. A disk with a problem or a degraded RAID array opens an alert (can be switched off in the policy's alert rules). The device's overview shows the disks. Disks behind hardware RAID controllers are not visible to the system.
Updating
Settings → RMMZit updates installs 0.8.0 from GitHub. Agents update themselves (Settings → Agent updates); network checks and disk health need agents 0.8.0.
