RMMZit 0.5.0 — policies for customers, sites and devices.
New
- Policies (Administration → Policies): a policy sets Windows Update (what, which days, which hour, restart), required software, alert rules (CPU, memory, disks, offline, pending restart, Defender, firewall, services that must run) and automations (library scripts on set days and time). Each part is switched on or left to a less specific policy.
- Assign a policy to a customer, a site or a single device. For each part the most specific assignment wins — device, then site, then customer — and the server's own settings apply when none sets it.
- Required software: programs from the software library, winget or Chocolatey that every Windows device of the policy must have. The server compares them with each device's inventory every few minutes and installs what is missing; the installation shows under the device's Activity, and a program that is still missing is tried again after 6 hours.
- Policy tab on every device: where each part comes from, the state of every required program (installed, missing, when an installation was started), the Windows Update and alert settings that apply, and the automations.
- After installing or removing a program, the device sends a fresh inventory.
