RMMZit 0.3.0 — the first public release.
Installation
- Ready-made appliance: VM images for VMware (OVA), Proxmox/KVM (qcow2) and Hyper-V (VHDX), and an unattended installer ISO. The VM's screen shows the console address and the setup token; a setup menu on the VM sets a fixed address, the server name and the time zone.
- install.sh for Debian, Ubuntu, AlmaLinux and Rocky Linux, and deb/rpm packages. Every release is signed; the server, the agents and install.sh check the signature.
New
- Self-update of the server from GitHub releases (signed, with a database backup and automatic rollback), optionally automatic.
- Certificate page: Let's Encrypt (HTTP check on port 80 or Cloudflare DNS), your own certificate, or the console's own.
- Settings: network of the appliance (DHCP or fixed, with automatic undo), time zone, restart, ports.
- Active Directory / LDAP and single sign-on (OpenID Connect, SAML 2.0) with group → role and group → customer mapping.
- Diagnostics: log locations, the newest log lines and a support ZIP without passwords, tokens, keys or scripts.
- 14 languages for the console and a built-in user guide (Documentation) with search.
- Audit log shows the customer, site, device or user with a link.
- Report a bug link to GitHub issues.
Security
- gosec, staticcheck, govulncheck, Semgrep, Gitleaks: no open findings.
- OWASP ZAP authenticated scan and nmap against the appliance; the appliance opens only ports 22, 8443 and 8444.
Agents
Agents update themselves to 0.3.0 (Settings → Agent updates).
