RipperX is a great CD ripper! As I see that ripperX development is not active anymore, I did a fork in Codeberg and implemented some big new features and fixed some more bugs. Here it is, for users that have interest to take a look in the Changelog and build it : codeberg.org/thothix/ripperx

linux mint 17... it pretended to rip 2 songs but left 2kb files...they play fine in banshee. Then on song three it hung at 79% and...slowly got to 81 where it stayed so long I aborted that one. I get way more than my share of this crud.

Great program but lacking in one important feature. After it has ripped a CD, the gate of the CD Drive should automatically open. I am busy copying my 200 CDs so I can play music through wifi to my lounge hifi, and it's a right pain. But apart from that I have no complaints at all.
