User Reviews

  • I truly loved this project but now has like 2 years orphaned and the website is not current. RIP for RIP.
  • I've used this for years now. It is concerning that there have been no releases and to the best of my recollection no public/open source copy of the build scripts. Thus it would be a big job to recreate the same distribution from scratch. Support rated low only due to the lack of updates and any indication it is still being developed.
  • Simply the best rescue, "credit card" sized Linux ever. Unfortunately it appears that Kent Robotti has abandoned it. I dropped some bucks in his PayPal and couldn't raise him. I hope he's not ill or worse.
  • This software is probably one of the best to fix pc problems when all else fails. Have been struggling with a friends laptop on and off for months. Would begin startup and quit before any screen messages . It was supposedly fried, all sources said it was a motherboard or processor dead. Before handing it back to her as a doorstop, I found RIPLinux-13.7 thru a Bing search and decided to try it. Downloaded, ran iso burner onto a dvd, placed into tray of dead laptop, and started up. Immediately fixed bad bios, checked everything out and told me to restart. Laptop is alive and healthy now.
